Great news for Hockey!

The Falkland Islands Hockey Association is now a limited charity.  This will not impact the games that you all love to play or the general interaction players have with the Association.

It does allow us to now have better access to funding for kit, equipment, tournaments etc. It also means the AGM will need to change slightly, which is the only major difference.

Now you will have to become a member of the charity before being able to attend or vote at the AGM.  Whereas before you could attend as a player or guardian of a player.  Becoming a member is free, and you do not need to be a player, a parent of a player, or even have played before to be a member, however some connection to the association is a requirement.

Membership is free, although you will be liable to a members guarantee of £1 if we go into receivership (this is a technical requirement for charitable status)
